Lori B. Hill, Esq.

Lori B. Hill is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Palm Beach Gardens’ office. Ms. Hill has a strong legal background with litigation experience, and assists our Community Association clients in all aspects of Community Association Law. Her background includes Labor and Employment Law, Civil Rights Law, Insurance Litigation, Residential and Commercial Foreclosure Litigation and General Civil Litigation. She provides tailored legal advice to association boards and community managers, ensuring compliance with Florida’s complex statutory framework while assisting in governance and operations.  Her hands-on approach allows her to deliver practical solutions that help associations function smoothly and efficiently.  This includes assisting with committee membership and board meetings; document drafting of advisory legal opinions, contract review and addendums, governing documents with amendments thereto.

Ms. Hill grew up in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Suffolk University Law School where she was active in many civic organizations including serving as President of the Student Bar Association and was aMember of their Nationally Ranked Trial Team. In recognition of her public service, she was awarded numerous honors and awards including the National Lawyers Guild Student Award and Suffolk Golden Gavel Award for Leadership.

Prior to her legal studies, Ms. Hill worked as a Field Coordinator providing grassrootslobby and legislative advocacy to secure the historic right to equal marriage in 2007.

Ms. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science with minor focus on Economics from Wheaton College, Norton, MA. During her studies there she was a Student-Athlete Mentor and was a Member of the Softball Team making it totwo NCAA World Series and receiving NCAA Regional All-American, NCAA All-Tournament Player and NCAA All Conference player for all four years that she played.

Ms. Hill studied abroad at University of London, Queen Mary where she was a member of the Football Club and received the Student Union Award for Sportsmanship.

Ms. Hill became a member of The Florida Bar in April 2012 and a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section.

Benjamin L. Heydlauff, Esq.

Benjamin L. Heydlauff enjoyed a fulfilling first career in Human Resources. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2000 and continued his professional education through various organizations affiliated with and through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). During his tenure in Human Resources, Mr. Heydlauff worked in both the government and the private sector administering HR functions for organizations such as The Village of Tequesta and PGA National.

In 2017, Mr. Heydlauff transitioned into the practice of law, receiving his Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. During law school, Mr. Heydlauff interned with several organizations including the National Right to Work Foundation, Norfolk Civil Law Practice Clinic and the Suffolk City Attorney’s Office. After law school, Mr. Heydlauff worked as an attorney focusing on estate planning, family law, probate and real estate. With a professional background in document drafting, handling transactional matters and real estate, it was a natural fit for Mr. Heydlauff to join Kaye Bender Rembaum, P.L. as an associate attorney to assist the firm’s clients on all aspects of community association operations.

Mr. Heydlauff is a member of the Florida Bar, a member of the Real Property Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the esteemed Condominium Planned Development Sub Committee. Mr. Heydlauff is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Danielle M. Brennan, Esq., BCS

Danielle M. Brennan is a Board Certified Specialist in Condominium and Planned Development Law by The Florida Bar. Mrs. Brennan is a Firm Member in the Palm Beach Gardens’ office and joined Kaye Bender Rembaum as an Associate Attorney in April 2013. She assists community association clients (including residential and commercial condominium associations, homeowners’ associations, cooperatives, and commercial associations) and developer clients with all aspects of community association establishment and operations, including, for example, corporate filings and mergers, governing document drafting and amendments, contract drafting and negotiations, membership meeting and board meeting operations, fair housing matters, land use and zoning matters, and covenant enforcement.

Mrs. Brennan became a member of The Florida Bar in September 2012. In May 2012, she graduated cum laude from Shepard Broad Law Center, Nova Southeastern University, receiving her Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Mrs. Brennan received the “Book Award” in Corporate Finance, an award given to the student who achieved the highest score. She was a founding member of “Beyond the Game”, an organization developed in partnership with the Miami Dolphins Director in Youth and Community Programs and former NFL player, Twan Russell, that informs and educates high school student athletes on contemporary legal issues affecting youth today. Mrs. Brennan served as a “Law Student Advisor” and is a member of the prestigious Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. She also achieved Gold Level Status in her law school’s Pro Bono Honor Program by donating over 300 hours of her time to the Office of the General Counsel of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2009.

Peter C. Mollengarden, Esq., BCS

Peter C. Mollengarden is a Board Certified Specialist in Condominium and Planned Development Law. He began practicing law in 1984 and has spent his entire legal career concentrating on community association law; including several years as an attorney in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area representing developers and preparing condominium and homeowners association documents. Since 1992, Mr. Mollengarden has represented community associations in South Florida regarding all aspects of community association law and has also been a frequent lecturer for organizations serving community associations and related businesses. Mr. Mollengarden graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1981, and the University of Miami School of Law in 1984.

Jeffrey A. Rembaum, Esq., BCS

Jeffrey A. Rembaum is Board Certified in Condominium and Planned Development Law with considerable experience representing countless community associations that include condominium, homeowner, commercial and cooperative associations. He regularly provides legal representation to new and established associations and developers. He has experience in a vast number of real estate and land use related matters. He is most adept at identification and implementation of creative strategies to accomplish his clients’ goals. Mr. Rembaum is a frequent lecturer to board members, property managers and fellow lawyers and regularly publishes in the area of community association law, including “Rembaum’s Association Roundup, the community association news you can use” emailed to thousands of board members, managers, and developers around the State of Florida and which is also published each month in the Florida Community Association Journal. He has published well over 300 articles to date. In addition, Mr. Rembaum is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Mr. Rembaum is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2022, Mr. Rembaum was once again named to the “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine; only 1.2% of lawyers in Florida earn this distinguished designation. Every year since 2012, Mr. Rembaum has been selected to the Florida “Super Lawyers” list. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at “Super Lawyers” to receive this honor.

After earning his law degree, Mr. Rembaum was an Assistant Public Defender for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County and, thereafter, he gained civil litigation experience. Prior to joining Kaye Bender Rembaum, he worked with several prestigious community association law and real estate firms in Palm Beach County. Prior to earning his law degree, Mr. Rembaum worked for the Development Corporation for Israel selling Israel bonds and worked for General Mills Corporation.

Mr. Rembaum is active in a variety of civic, professional and political organizations in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the Real Property Section of the Florida Bar and is active with its Condominium Planned Unit Development sub-committee. In addition, he was a member of the National Community Associations Institute where he served on its Amicus Curie Brief Committee and is a member of the Community Associations Institute, Gold Coast Chapter.

Mr. Rembaum received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University (B.A. 1987) and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D. 1996).
