Emily E. Gannon, Esq.

Firm Member

Emily E. Gannon is a Firm Member in the Pompano Beach office of Kaye Bender Rembaum.  She joined the Firm as an Associate Attorney in April 2012.  Ms. Gannon is a frequent lecturer on community association law, leading various seminars providing CEUs for property managers and certifications for board members.  She assists community association clients with all aspects of community association law, including, drafting and amending governing documents, negotiating contracts, conducting membership meetings, board meetings and elections, addressing fair housing matters and covenant enforcement issues.

Ms. Gannon received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of the Dean’s List. She then continued her education at Wake Forest University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 2005. As a law student, she interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Following law school, Ms. Gannon practiced criminal law and gained experience handling personal injury, misdemeanors and felonies. She assisted with the defense in a murder case which was one of the early “Stand Your Ground” cases in Florida. She then transitioned to civil litigation and practiced bankruptcy law at one of the biggest mortgage foreclosure firms in Florida. Prior to joining Kaye Bender Rembaum, Ms. Gannon assisted community associations with their bankruptcy, collection and lien foreclosure matters. While Ms. Gannon joined Kaye Bender Rembaum to continue working in litigation, handling collections and foreclosure matters, she has since transitioned into handling the general association matters, as she prefers assisting clients with day-to-day operations to being in a courtroom.
