Alan Schwartzseid, a Board Certified Specialist in Condominium and Planned Development Law, obtained a B.A. from the University of Florida in 2004, a M.S. in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in 2005, and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. Mr. Schwartzseid initially practiced mortgage foreclosure law, and in 2010, joined Kaye & Bender n/k/a Kaye Bender Rembaum to concentrate in the area of community association assessment collection. In 2014, Mr. Schwartzseid left that employ to manage the collection department of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, and in 2018, moved to Central Florida where he spent several years as managing collection attorney and general community association counsel to over 500 communities, with Clayton & McCulloh, P.A.
In August 2022, Mr. Schwartzseid returned to Kaye Bender Rembaum as a Firm Member and managing attorney of the firm’s Winter Springs / Orlando, Florida office, where he assists clients in all facets of community association law, with a transactional focus. Mr. Schwartzseid is an active member of the Condominium Committee, who has served on numerous task forces of the Committee, authored several chapters of the Homeowners’ Association and Condominium law books now pending publication, is a former chair and current member of the CLE Development Subcommittee, and serves as co-vice chair of the Condominium and Planned Development Board Certification CLE Subcommittee. Mr. Schwartzseid regularly lectures on Community Association law issues (including at the Boyer Institute on Condominium and Cluster Development, and the Condominium and Planned Development Board Certification CLE), and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified County and Circuit Civil Mediator who focuses much of his mediation practice on community association-related disputes.
