Students will be able to demonstrate their familiarity with the responsibilities of being an effective Director for their Condominium Association including a better understanding of: (a) milestone inspection requirements; (b) structural integrity reserve study requirements; (c) elections; (d) record keeping; (e) financial literacy and transparency; (f) levying of fines; (g) notice and meeting requirements; (h) conflicts of interest; and (i) insurance requirements.

They often prioritize rental income and property appreciation over community well-being, leading to potential declines in property upkeep, and participation in HOA matters. Renters typically have less incentive to participate in the community, while investors may push for minimal HOA dues and less restrictive regulations to maximize profits.
