Lunch and Learn at Capriccio – Property Damage Claims Education

RSVP HERE

Lunch and learns at Capriccio are back! The Capriccio Networking Group is hosting a free lunch and learn. This is most helpful for community association managers (CAMs), HOA boards and members, and property management professionals.

This month’s topic is Property Damage Claims Education presented by Gwynne Beatty from United Claims Specialists. This class pulls back the curtain on insurance companies and demystifies the claims process for property damage. If you’ve ever been frustrated with your insurance carrier, this class is for you.

Meet the event sponsors starting at 11:30 a.m. The class is from 12 – 1 p.m. CAMs can receive 2 CEUs for attending the course.

Capriccio Ristorante | 2424 N University Dr, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024

While board members from all community associations (including condominiums, cooperatives and HOAs) are welcome to register and attend, CEUs will only be available for:

      • Licensed CAMS: Course 9628058 | One (1) CEUs in OPP/ELE | Provider # 5092.
      • HOA Board Members: One (1) CEU towards your annual requirement

Statutory changes and case law decisions greatly impact the interpretation, enforceability and legal effect of the governing documents of a community association. Antiquated documents can create liability exposure to the association and its members. Old provisions may hinder association operations, leaving community associations without the rights and remedies it needs to property govern the community. Learn about common pitfalls in older governing documents, specific provisions that are no longer legally enforceable and why updates are so crucial to successful association governance. Course to be led by Kerstin Henze, Esq. (Kaye Bender Rembaum, P.L. Tampa location).

Registration begins at 10:00am and the program (and brunch) runs from 10:30am to 11:30am.
