This NEW HOA board certification course satisfies the educational requirements of the new legislation which went into effect on July 1, 2024. The new legislation states, “Homeowners’ association board members must take a board member certification course that is up to 4 hours long with certain subjects mandated within 90-days after being elected or appointed to the board.” This course fulfills this requirement.

Managers and board members will receive a comprehensive education of the statutory requirements and responsibilities that each volunteer must know to more effectively serve on the Board of Directors of a Homeowners Association. Participants will be able to demonstrate their familiarity with the responsibilities of being an effective Director for their Homeowners Association including a better understanding of: elections; record keeping; financial literacy and transparency; levying of fines; notice and meeting requirements; conflicts of interest; and insurance requirements.
